Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has de-listed Eagle Box & Carton Manufacturing Company Ltd, a Z-category company. A board meeting of the DSE on March 5, 2006 decided to de-list the company in compliance with a directive from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Trading of Eagle Box shares remained suspended on the DSE from July 13,2004. The SEC issued a directive on January 3,2006 asking the chairman and sponsor directors of Eagle Box to pay the money to the public and institutional shareholders immediately. The company paid Tk 25.90, the last traded price, for each share to valid shareholders. The company had submitted an application on October 11,2004 for de-listing of its shares from the DSE on the grounds of closure of commercial operations since October 31,2003 due to heavy financial loss.
