A 39-member delegation of National Defence College led by Commodore Shaikh Mohammad Moniruzzaman, visited Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on May 16, 2006 as part of their academic exercise. Later they held a meeting with the policymakers of the country's main bourse. DSE President Mr. Abdullah Bokhari welcomed the delegation. Senior Vice President Ahmad Rashid, Vice President Mr. N.U.M Oliullah and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Salahuddin Ahmed Khan were present on the occasion. The team members were apprised of various issues of the stock market. Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Salahuddin Ahmed Khan presented an overview on DSE before the delegation members. Later they visited the DSE ICT department, clearing house, DP and some corporate brokerage houses. DSE Secretary Mr. Shaikh Mohammadullah was present on the occasion.
